Trampoline Landscapes

And this time I'm not coming down
This time I'm not coming down
- Joe Henry, Trampoline

If archaeologists of the far future were to look at aerial photos of Norway today, they might very well be baffled by the strange pattern of circular objects between two and five meters in diameter found in every other garden. Were these objects water towers? Satellite arrays? What function did they have?

One of the most distinguishing features of the contemporary Norwegian landscape is the unceasing number of mostly unused trampolines. Starting on Christmas Eve in 2012, I've been documenting this landscape through a series of photographs from all over the country.
